PERSONALITY:
CHIVALROUS/ POLITE:
Anyone who comes to know the black-haired, bowl-cut boy, knows immediately how polite he is. Greeting someone with an eager handshake, or a bow, Lee goes out of his way to treat someone respectfully. Some may consider it at first to be a joke, but his mannerisms are honest. Lee prides himself in respect and honour, and takes his lessons from old movies and gentlemanly ideals. He goes out of his way to help someone, and never turns someone away if they need help. Lee uses little to no contractions in his everyday speech, refuses the use of profanities and swear words, and often calls people by their surname, or sometimes even by their full name. If he is excessively attached to someone, he will call them only by their first name. Lee uses his 'pleases' and 'thank-yous', dots all his 'i's and crosses his 't's, and, most importantly, works up a reputation that is better than he could have ever expected for himself.

DETERMINED/ DRIVEN:
Although single-minded when it comes to the task at hand, Lee is very determined and driven when it comes to reaching his goal. He has a refusal to take 'no' for an answer, and even when the odds play against him, he will continue to run himself ragged until his goal has been accomplished. When he fails, although he gets quite down, he knows that he needs to try again, because in the springtime of youth, failure is not an option ...

HARD-WORKING/ PASSIONATE:
Although Lee may not express copious amounts of knowledge and common sense, he is very keen when it comes to his personal goals. Rock Lee is never willing to give up on something once he has started, and refuses to let others down. He is honorable and passionate about things, and gets easily excited. Not to mention that he is not at all willing to let others down simply because of himself. Lee refuses to never give less than his absolute best, and his absolute best means one-hundred and ten percent.

SENSITIVE/ EMPATHETIC:
Although he lacks many social skills and common sense, Lee is easily attuned to others' emotions around him. He attempts to be the optimist for others, no matter how he is feeling. He tries to remain happy in the light of any situation, and excitedly talk to them about the springtime of youth, and how much of their life they have ahead of them.

ENERGETIC:
Coffee needs Lee--Lee doesn't need coffee. His energy level is astounding. After a few moments of intense languor, Lee suddenly bursts into attention after waking up. His morning regiment consists of a controlled, routine exercise. He goes for a run around the block, drinks a glass of water, then goes and punches his punching bag to get any extra energy out. He chants mantras for that day to nail them into his subconscious and go into the day with that kind of an attitude--forward-thinking and determined.

SECRETIVE:
Lee has spent most of his life hiding from ridicule and mocking jeers. Most of the reason for his polite, respectful mannerisms can be traced back to the earliest, most insecure years of his life. He hides this aspect from nearly everyone, and tries to replace it with a sunny disposition, using physical fitness and determination to reach his goal as a way to numb his emotions for hurt and pain. He cannot remember a time when he hasn't been mocked; though he mostly tries to ignore it, he is well aware. He waits for the day, trying to look forward to the future, when he can prove to his enemies the decency of his being.
