It was late, pitch black out with a few stars dotting the sky. The moon wasn't visible in this stage of the cycle and the only thing that illuminated the empty lot were a few old street lamps. Light lavender eyes stared out over the parking lot, from the cracked pavement to the makeshift basketball goals. It was rare for Neji to wonder out and visit the old hangout, especially at ten o'clock at night. Truly unusual. He didn't care tonight.
Leaving the sidewalk, he crossed the pavement, tennis shoes making no noise in his light steps, long hair tied near the bottom, swishing against his back with each careful step. The young Hyuuga had trouble on his mind, family troubles. And, when it became too stressful, this is what happened. He'd grab his guitar case and leave the family house. Whether he played or not, depended on where he ended up.
A small sigh heaved past his lips, created a little fog of warm air, drifting out into the cold night. Winter was almost at hand, the temperatures slowly dropping to the point where Neji had worn a simple, dark gray hoody over his t-shirt to fend off the cold. After crossing to the far side of the parking lot where, he hoped, he would be undisturbed, he set the guitar case on the ground, sitting on one of the home made benches consisting on an few old 2x4's and some cinder blocks. Tucking his hands into the pockets of his jacket, he absently stared out into the dark, his mind wondering as he watched absolutely nothing. He was a strange young man indeed.

Hanabi looked out from behind a tree's covering foliage, watching her older cousin thoughtfully. She wasn't sure she should approach him yet, especially since he had probably sensed someone following him earlier. Crouching in the leaves, she continued her vigil, curious, but controlled. If he made a move to leave, she would run to him. Her foot slipped suddenly, and she almost fell, scraping her knee and cutting a hand, but she managed to stay in the tree.
