For those who didn't party it up with the youngest Uchiha on a regular basis, would be pretty surprised to find that he left his ice cold personality at school, and was surprisingly normal when it came to spending quality time outside of school. Sure, he was rather drunk on most of those occasions, therefore it was expected of him to not act like a complete asshole. Even so, the fact that he was at least somewhat personable outside of school was still a shock to most.
Still, it was Sasuke's mission to get at least drunk enough to not remember having done the stupidest shit at parties, and usually he reached that goal by a milestone. His own party, however, was somewhat different. For one, his parents were on the other side of the Uchiha mansion, for another, it was Christmas, which could only mean one thing: Mistletoe. And while Sasuke enjoyed getting drunk enough to do the stupidest of things, it most certainly wasn't worth it when he was being objectified by several of the females around the room. And he didn't want a repeat of the last year when he was rumored to have kissed none other than his rival, Naruto, under the mistletoe. That, of course, was as false as rumors could come, but it still tugged at the Uchiha's pride.
So, being the responsible teenager he was, Sasuke decided to sit this party out, sipping daintily at a can of beer while perched on the armrest of a leather couch, watching the rest of his classmates and peers stumble around singing off-key to Party Rock Anthem. Sasuke had to admit, he wasn't a huge fan of loud music, especially of this genre, but the more sips of beer he took, the less he seemed to care. Still, as time ticked on, Sasuke knew some brave girl with a frilly top and way-too-tight jeans would saunter up to him in favor of asking for a romantic kiss under the mistletoe - or maybe a guy looking for a little challenge of some sort (such as TPing the house next door, which Sasuke wasn't entirely opposed to doing... even in his half-sober state). Either way, Sasuke really didn't want to keep sitting around, staring at all of his peers. He got up slowly, walking as straight as he could as he weaved through packs of teenagers.
Sasuke entered another room and set down his beer in favor grabbed a pool cue and twirled it around in his hand slowly. He had no intention of playing the game, but watched a couple of drunken idiots attempting it with a small smirk on his face, eyes wandering over to the mistletoe every few minutes, wondering who the first unfortunate soul would be to get trapped under it by some drunken female.

Itachi made his way down the staircase wearing a black hood, with jeans that were equally as black. He was told on many occasions not to wear black as much, but it was a habit somewhat. He noticed that the side of the complex was relatively quiet compared to the booming sound that erupted from this part of the building, but then again, his parents and their associates were not into the same music as the younger generation were, understandably. He could feel his own head throbbing as the music started to raise considerably in volume as somebody turned it up, all the while feeling the need to raise his hood over his face, but eventually he decided against it and left it down.
It wasn't that he hated loud music particularly, but rather loudness in general. He could make an exception for proper rock of course. One may ask what the hell he was doing here, then, if he was more of a silent sort, but he truly did not know. This was a common thing for the Uchiha family, and his mother had persuaded him many times in the past to attend instead of disappearing. He could not argue with his mother and so it became natural for him to show up. That was the likely explanation.
As he looked around the room, he spotted his younger sibling drinking beer nonchalantly. He looked quite happy with himself in his own company. It wasn't likely that Sasuke had noticed him yet, as he had only just came downstairs. He did look quite preoccupied by thoughts of mistletoe however, he noticed. He cracked a very faint smile at his brother and walked out into the garden. He didn't know as much about Sasuke as he liked to think he did, but he was definitely going to be the topic of discussion when the event was over, no doubt.
It was cold outside, and as he stepped onto the yard he felt the rush of bitter air hit him in the face. Winter was finally upon Konoha, and it couldn't have appeared at a better time as far as he was concerned. He was a fan of winter, despite how ruthless it could be at times. He looked up at the dark and cloudy sky above. So peaceful; the beats indoors were drowned out by the howling of the wind and the area surrounding the house was relatively tranquil. Well, as tranquil as it could be, for a complex that was hosting an event of such significance. He couldn't see the snow yet, but he hoped that it would reveal itself to him soon.
The Uchiha garden was huge, with many elegant tables and chairs set outside on the courtyard. Itachi sat himself down on one of the chairs, watching his breath come out in thick puffs of white.
He would make sure to go in soon, to observe the madness that was guaranteed to unfold within the Uchiha residence. With every minute, all of the partygoers brought themselves closer to full intoxication. That, he smiled, was when things would really get interesting. But for now, he quietly admired the scenery.

Hanabi looked around, watching people from her own class getting drunk and doing really odd things. She herself wasn't allowed to have drinks yet; then again, she wasn't really interested in that. Her eyes strayed to a couple kissing under the mistletoe, bunches of which seemed to be hung all over the room at random.
She felt very out of place in this group, everyone seeming to have a good time and enjoying themselves. She scuffed one shoe on the floor, and then remembered that they were the shoes Father had bought just for the party. He had wanted her to go out, make some new friends. But she wasn't quite ready to. Not while they were having so much fun with their own friends. While she may be a little bolder about speaking to people than her older sister, she wasn't so confident as to just walk up to someone.
The music was getting louder, and she covered her ears. Peace and quiet were what she was used to, outdoors, in the trees. She had noticed a garden outside, and wondered if they were allowed to go out there. Not seeing anyone available to ask, she walked through the door and headed outside.
The first thing Hanabi noticed was that it was quieter outside. Much quieter. And there was the definite chill of snow in the air, and in the wind that blew. She looked up at the clouds, contemplating their dark cover. Would they bring a white blanket to cover the earth in its beauty and silence? She sat on the ground, using her lavender wrap as a seat, and practiced her meditative pose, enjoying the relative peace outside. She suddenly had the feeling that she wasn't the only one out here.
