"no no no..!!!" she whispered with a low hiss. just like every other day minori was spending her time in the library draining her brain out on her video game. instead of studying like she was suppose to this was what it always turned into. she laid there with her head tilting back on the large arm chair as her legs kicked freely on the other end. at the corner of her eye she saw a teacher walking by and quickly put away her game and pulled out a book pretending as if she were studying hard.
once the other was gone she pulled out her game yet again and started to press away at the buttons."go go go!!" she chanted only to get shushed at by a random person casually walking by. she frowned toward them with her blue eyes, people didn't understand her love for games. sure, it wasn't that great of an idea nor was it healthy for her to play games so much but she couldn't help it. could she? shrugging her shoulders she just kept playing her precious game pushing all thoughts aside. "nothing to worry about anyway..."
but after a while she began to get tired. instead of turning off her game her head slowly tilted back as her eyes grew heavy. dozing off after a moment or so she shook her head to fight off the sleep. sadly she couldn't fight the sleep and soon enough her whole body fell limp and she was out like a light. her game still on and the music softly playing on the device slipped out of her hand and fell out onto the floor. if anyone passed by they would sure have to see what was going on right?
ooc: i know it's lame but someone should wake her up!

Riza~Sophomore~single Riza just happened to be walking through the library when the junior, who she'd only just heard the name of dropped her video game system. She'd just been checking out two books, a history book for the only class she enjoyed and a piece of "Classic American Literature" for her grandmother to read. Her grandma didn't get out of the house often and Riza didn't go to public libraries to do a large number of over due books she kept somewhere in her trash-dump like bedroom.
Riza had, since the day she was born, a unshakable reverence towards anyone older than herself. Despite all this she still contradicted teachers but that was because they (like her grandmother) had lost the right to be respected.
The older students however held Riza's utter respect and adoration. She observed them in the halls and paid extra special attention to get out of their way when passing them in the hall. They were her idols, no matter what the personality. Also, they were the untouchables, up until now.
She plunked herself down onto the ground (bending over just made her look fat) and picked up the video game in her right hand. It seemed fairly old but still pretty cool, Riza liked video games, especially the vintage ones. The girl had seemed pretty into the game. Was it any good?
Riza wasn't normally the type to steal stuff or anything. But she had to at least find out what you did in the game. She sat leaned onto the chair and began to play.
Instantly she was sucked into the unique game experience. The graphics were fairly old, actually correction they sucked, but it didn't matter because they were unique. The theme music was repetitive and turned down a bit too low for Riza's tastes, she slowly heightened the volume.
She was in the middle of playing when she screamed out "Oh my god. You're kidding me. No, no, no!" and she closed the game down loudly. No amount of energy invested in playing the games ever improved her skills. "ugh..." she groaned before falling backwards onto the person in the chair.

minori was enjoying her catnap. she was having a wonderful dream at that until someone practically jumped on her."ack! what in the world!!" she yelled glaring at whoever was sitting on her at the moment. automatically she pushed the other away from her and slowly sat up in the chair. "I just wanted a nap." she complained rubbing the back on her head. her blue eyes slowly looked over at the other with a dull expression. right about now she wasn't in the greatest of moods since someone rudely woke her.
"so do you always fall on people that are asleep or is that just me riza-chan? although her expression read annoyed her voice was quiet mellow. her eyes landed down at her game then back over towards the sophomore. she extended her hand. "i'd like my game back...please." this was what she got for playing games in the library. not to mention suddenly dozing off wasn't part of the plan. minori let out a long sigh closing her eyes for a moment.
her and riza didn't have the greatest friendship; if you wanted to call it that. there were times when the two got along just fine and others when minori personally wanted to push her out of a window; out of love. opening her eyes she just looked up at the ceiling waiting for an answer. this would a interesting conversation. who knew this would run into her day.
ooc: lame i know -_-

Riza~Sophomore~single Riza fell onto the floor having been forced rather roughly off her "chair". She sat glaring at her attacker before noticing it was a junior, Minoru, the one that she'd been trying to get the attention of. "I'm sorry. Honestly." she said happy that she hadn't actually lied about that much.
"I was here studying for a test and I-" she covered her mouth, even an insignificant lie meant that she was acting up again. "Anyway, I saw your game drop and I was going to give it back but you were sleeping." she dropped the video game into Minoru's hands.
"I looked at the screen, and because I like video games, especially vintage ones, so I started playing" she smiled. Things were going, well enough for her tastes. "I got you farther in it though."
She plopped into a seat across from her. "What brings you to the KHS library might I ask?"
Not waiting for an answer she trudged on "was it, perhaps, the need to spend time wasting away playing video games?" this was by no means the most comfortable environment for Riza's social abilities but she was still starting to warm up.
She knew that the few other encounter with Minoru she'd had seemed to point towards them being friends. But then the more recent ones had made them seem more like enemies, Riza didn't like the idea of having enemies, not ones that acted like friends occasionally anyway. So she was going to treat her like, what else, a frenemie.

The library, the only place of normality and tranquility throughout the entire school, in his opinion anyway. Not only was it excellent because it was so quiet, which allowed his mind to focus, but because in the presence of neverending knowledge he was always a satisfied person. Definitely his sort of place.
As he walked up to the librarian, a shrew looking old woman behind a desk full of books as old as she was, he noticed the fuss coming from a particular area of the big room. Not a problem, it wasn't annoyingly loud and it seemed only to be a conversation between two students.
Itachi placed his book on the counter, he was returning a book that he would not usually be found reading, nor would he ever be caught glancing at. A tutor had recommended it after seeing Itachi burying himself in a book in the middle of drama class. "Make-up Tactics", the book studying the philosophy regarding relationships and how they work, heavily dramatised of course and incredibly... clique, especially to him. His mother had laughed when she caught him reading it, but it kept him busy and partially amused, so it wasn't all bad.
“Ah, Itachi, I saw young Sasuke here the other day. How you've both grown! Returning this are you?”
Itachi nodded, smiling at the mention of his little brother.
He brought his gaze back to her. “Returning it, yes. Not a moment too soon, I almost threw it out with the garbage.”
“You need a real book, something to sink your teeth into. Hah, maybe something from the history section?”
His face was void of emotion, he thought she may have been joking. Shame, he liked history almost as much as literature, and to him that seemed to be a rarity these days.
A thud then erupted from the corner of the room and both the librarian and he turned to see what it was.
“What was that?” she asked, as if he knew. “Be a good student and go and see. I tell you, if it's those little boys playing around again,” she balled her hands into fists, shaking them violently.
He took that as his cue to leave, but not before arching his head around the corner of a large bookshelf to get a better view.
“Who's there?” he asked. He could hear voices discernable as young boys, or girls maybe, but obviously distressed. Maybe it was both? Either way, they were at the other end of the room from him, their shadows visible only as blurs.

Minori simply nodded accepting the apology. Her head swung back looking up at the ceiling yet again. “It was such a good sleep too. You know the one when you’re just about to drift off to dreamland.” she mused while turning down the volume to the game. She was sure someone could hear the game let alone her yelling at Riza...It was just a accident. No reason for anyone to get upset over the sudden commotion. A small smile grew at the corner of her lips, “Oh so you like the old ones too?” she sat up in the chair with a stretch. “It’s pretty annoying. There are some glitches in the game so you end up getting frustrated. Thanks by the way.” She didn’t really want the help to get farther in the game but there was no helping it.
“Studying for a test hmm?” she raised a brow with amusement. She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, “Well….Of course.” she began locking eyes with the other. “I can’t study in such a quiet environment to tell you the truth. I prefer outside. Not to mention it’s so dark and boring in here. Yet it’s the perfect place to play games.” Minori simply shrugged her shoulders. There were times when she studied like the good girl she was and other times when she could care less about school work.
Hearing a voice Minori turned her attention from Riza and towards the direction where the other was speaking. “Just two girls having a little conversation. We won’t bite. Join if you’d like.” she turned her attention back to her friend, “So…Studying for history? Or is that a little lie~” she teased.

Girls. Good! Well, good in that he was relieved it wasn't children causing mischief for the old lady behind the desk. Sometimes it appeared as though she was on the edge of having a heart attack. He noticed them in the midst of a discussion when the one spoke to him.
“Just two girls having a little conversation. We won’t bite. Join if you’d like.”
She was brought back to the attention of her friend.
He thought about it. Not many of his colleagues were interested in Itachi, thus they never thought to speak to him directly. They knew he was clever, and sometimes even used him to further themselves in school, some going as far as asking him to complete their homework for them. Thinking about that now, he would make a killing if he started charging them for it. He snapped himself from his thoughts, pulled a chair beside them and looked back to the elderly librarian who was no longer even bothered by their presence.
“My apologies for interrupting. She may look innocent but she threatens to inform my mother if I don't do as she says.” He looked back at them. “History,” he heard her say, and repeated it heartily. “Are you a keen student of the subject?”Thud. That was the sound of him kicking himself for such a stupid comment. He already knew he was the only one boring enough to be interested in that.

Riza~Sophomore~single The moment that Itachi, that was the oldest Uchiha brother for those that didn't know approached Riza freaked out. Itachi was a genius, and he was important. The kind of person that she needed connections to. Right now. Stiffening in her seat as she noticed that he was actually, talking to her she tried to sort through her possible replies.
The most common lie would be to say that she hated history and no she wasn't studying for it. But when talking to smart people one must sound intelligent and saying something stupid like that wasn't going to get her anywhere.
So she replied to both Minoru and Itachi at the same "uh, actually. I was studying for history, or am." she added hastily. "And no, that isn't a lie."
Just because her "friend" Minoru knew about her, er, lying tendencies. She didn't need everyone to know. And actually she did enjoy history and studying. Especially history. Which was the only class she had an aptitude for.
"In my class, well we're learning about like, communism and stuff." she added holding up a heavy textbook. "It's actually pretty awesome stuff, the history that is."
Being around so many older people was making her nervous. She even felt her heart pounding a bit faster. This was, uncomfortable. Instead she decided to hit at one of her few abilities that didn't involve lying, which was to give her unique smile that always made her look slightly. Angry? Or maybe arrogant.

Eyeing the senior Minori flashed a smile over towards him. “It’s okay. You were just doing what you were told.” The junior fought to roll her eyes at Riza. Minori knew for a fact that if the Uchiha wasn’t there Riza would have said she wasn’t studying in the first place. Twirling her hair as her blue eyes gazed out the window momentarily. History had to be one of those subjects that she just did not like. Out of all the school subjects the one she enjoyed the most would be science, and art.
“History is okay.” she replied not wanting to be let out of the conversation. Not to mention it wasn’t one to keep talking about, unless she wanted to get put to sleep. “Science is better. Environmental science.” call her a hippy but anything that had to deal with nature or the animals in it she pretty much enjoyed. “Everyone has their own taste though.” she looked at her game for a moment before turning it off. Now wasn’t the time to play, teachers were clearly lurking and she didn’t want her precious game to be taken from her. Tucking the game in the seat that she was in she picked up a book from the coffee table and flipped it to a random page to make it at least look as if she was trying to study. “What’s your favorite subject? By the way, I’m Minori.” she already knew who he was. The whole school practically talked about him and how crazy smart he was. But that didn’t really intimidate her, if she could somehow befriend his little brother then she could do the same with Itachi.

Itachi listented intently for any hint of deceit, only due to the fact that it was rare he found anyone who liked history as much as he did, but as smart as he was he could not directly see anything that would give her away. Perhaps she was genuinely interested in history.
“Yes, it's quite extraordinary. To speak openly of communism, we must first address and observe why that particular ideology has persecuted us as humans in the past. What better way than to start with the history books?”
He knew about the dark and cryptic "truths" that existed in Konoha's history. Not many people would look at Konoha the same if they knew what he knew. It certainly wasn't all that innocent, but then again what nation ever was? The fun and rewarding part about learning history was that the little engaging parts could only be uncovered by studying it intensly. If he told them that though, by his estimation they would quickly discard him as either a wearisome nuisance or a psychopathic zealot. The funny thing was, he was starting to think one of them was actually very true, and after that last outburst they probably were too.
Luckily for him, the other girl quickly changed the subject and he felt his shoulders relax.
“Science is better. Environmental science.”
He nodded attentively as he crossed both of his arms.
“Everyone has their own taste though.” He noticed she had put the console to one side and had picked up a book instead. “What’s your favorite subject? By the way, I’m Minori.”
“Uchiha Itachi. Pleasure to meet you both,” he nodded as if to bow his head to them.
There was a good chance they already knew his name, apparently Sasuke had given the Uchihas in general quite the reputation around this building. He doubted it was his own influence that had allowed the Uchiha reputation to grow so quickly, or at least for the sake of him being humble he hoped it wasn't him. He would rather it be Sasuke that was known as the Uchiha to speak about, for him to get all of the glory. As much as Sasuke was a self-assertive person, he had his good sides and Itachi had set quite the bar for him to jump over.
“Literature is my favourite. Our spoken and written language is what fascinates me the most, along with the culture it brings. Although time hasn't been very kind to it; some of us speak like dimwits, it's discouraging for the future generation.”
He was beginning to ramble.
“I must apologise for rambling. Do you two know each other? Accomplices?” Bad joke, very bad joke. By the time he was done kicking himself today, he wouldn't be able to walk home.

Riza~Sophomore~single Riza laughed heartily at Itachi's little "joke".She figured that she'd probably the only one who got it. Assuming that your description for getting a joke was just thinking it funny but not understanding it.
Communism wasn't really something that Riza really, understood to its' fullest. She loved ancient history, stuff about culture and all that. But she wasn't really into, say, big words. But if she wanted to do well in history she might as well attempt to study up.
Figures that Itachi would be into that kind of thing though. He was like, totally nerdy or whatever. That's what Riza thought. But if he could help her understand stuff... she figured she wasn't making any sense.
Minoru was by no means a friend to Riza. But because her goal was to become super popular and have tons of friends, well, people she knew would be counted (outside of her head) as friends. "Yeah. We're friends, like, best friends!" she lied.
She bet that Itachi thought she was lying, it was a total act but who cared? The point was, Minoru probably wouldn't say they weren't.
"You like, literature." Riza tried not to groan. It wasn't that Riza sucked at reading or hated writing or anything. It was just that all the stuff in class that they read was old.
Classics her ass. Most of the writing was really boring and she'd died through Shakespeare. He was like, the king of writing loads of mumbo jumbo to fill a page.
However, the rant. That'd have to wait until later. Riza wasn't going to go about not making friends just yet. It wasn't her style. "Um, I like literature too." she said. At least it wasn't as boring as science.

Hanabi had been sitting on the floor in one of the aisles of bookshelves, engrossed in a book on martial arts. She was living through the history of the art, the origin of defenses and attack moves, the practices, the traditions.. She was pulled from her reading and imagining by voices. Curiosity and slight annoyance took over. Standing quietly, Hanabi tip-toed to the end of the row of bookshelves, and peeked around the corner. It appeared that the voices were from the end of the room, only a few rows away. Two girls and a tall boy. From the looks of their clothes, they were in higher classes than she was. She turned to go back to her seat on the floor, and accidentally dropped her book. It echoed with a dull thud on the thinly-carpeted floor. She froze, unable to move.
